Fall is finally here! Cooler days and nights allow for us all to go out and enjoy all of the amazing events that are taking place this month in the Valley of the Sun. Here are some of the biggest and best to choose from:

Visit Schnepf Farms

Have some family fun at Schnepf Family Farm and see their organic gardens and orchards. At the farm, a designated Arizona treasure, guests can visit a country store and bakery along with farm tours, train rides, petting zoo and more. Goldfield Ghost Town

Take a step back in time to the Wild West at Goldfield Ghost Town. Take a tour of the town’s historic gold mine and learn about the town’s history at the museum. Stay alert when moseying through the town’s shops, as an Old West gunfight could break out at any time (all in fun, of course)

Vertuccio Farms Fall Festival and Corn Maze Fair/Festival

(For the Family, Children, Farmers’ Market, Holiday)

It’s that time of year again at Vertuccio Farms! Come enjoy Vertuccio Farms Fall Festival and Corn Maze, celebrating 19 years of family-friendly fun! In partnership with #LovePup, bringing awareness to animals who need forever homes, this year’s maze design features their logo prominently displayed in 7 acres of corn. Opening Monday, October 2, 2017, this may be the best year yet. Guests can get lost in a 7-acre corn maze, bounce on a giant jump pad, fly on our mini zip line, and roll around the farm in a human-sized hamster wheel.

 

Arizona Taco Festival

This October, prepare for one of the biggest and most exciting food festivals in the country held at Salt River Fields. Picture this: 50+ taco vendors slinging tacos left and right, lucha libre wrestlers battling it out for supremacy, top mixologists shaking up creative margaritas in a spirited competition, live music to dance the afternoon away, and a piñata safe zone to protect the gentle creatures, plus a heaping helping of fun with all of the Taco stands. Fall Plant Sale (FREE)- October 21-22

More than 30,000 plants – including cacti, succulents, trees, shrubs, groundcover, perennials, herbs, vegetables and unusual specimens of all sizes – are showcased. Garden volunteers and staff horticulturists are on hand to answer questions, assist in plant selections and offer advice. Phoenix Home & Garden is among the sponsors.

Dia de los Muertos Festival (FREE) – October 28th & 29th

This spirited event features a variety of food, entertainment by local and regional acts, and a colorful Mercado with an assortment of Day of the Dead merchandise, jewelry and arts and crafts.

WEST VALLEY

University of Phoenix Stadium Tour

Guests are invited for a “behind the scenes” tour of the areas rarely seen by the public and some of the unique operational features of the only stadium in North America with a roll-out natural grass field and retractable roof.

 

Wickenburg Fly-In & Classic Car Show

Wickenburg Municipal Airport hosts a free event in celebration of “Discover Aviation Month” in Arizona. Morning highlights include vehicle and static model airplane displays, community booths and aircraft flying in from all over. Food will be available for purchase as well.

Halloween Extravaganza
