Avilla Sabino and Tanque Verde offer easy access to Tucson where you will find many activities available year round. The Tucson Arena and Convention Center tops neighborhood events offering everything from rodeos to concert performances.

  • The Professional Bull Riders Association has competition Oct. 2 at 8:00 pm and Oct 3 at 7:00 pm. You can see the best bull riders on the rodeo circuit ride bucking broncos in this event sponsored by Built Ford Tough.
  • The Leo Rich Theater will be the location for the Tir Conaill Academy of Dance annual presentation Oct. 4 at 5:00 pm. This is the fifth year for this performance of Irish-Celtic music and dance.
  • Psychic medium Theresa Caputo will offer The Experience on Oct. 6 beginning at 7:30 pm. This gifted physic, star of the TLC show Long Island Medium, will explain how she communicates with people who have passed away into another dimension.
  • Disney on Ice – Frozen will be performed Oct. 15 to 18 at different times for families to enjoy. This is a wonderful event for children of all ages. The ice show presents the story and music from the popular Disney film performed by professional ice skaters.

The Fox Theatre at 17 West Congress Street in downtown Tucson is the main venue for community events including concerts and the lectures series from the University of Arizona. 

  • Nine-time Grammy award winner Herb Alpert and his wife Lani Hall will appear on Sept 26. Alpert is the well-known trumpet player and songwriter from the 1960’s and 70’s with his Tijuana Brass band.
  • Legendary country singers Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell top community news with their performance at the 85th Annual Fox Theatre Foundation’s Chasing Rainbows Gala on Sept. 27.
  • Guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd appears on Sept. 29.
  • Guitar virtuoso Jesse Cook and One World on Oct. 7,  UB40 on Oct. 15 and Joan Armatrading on Oct. 16.
  • Afro-Cuban musician and songwriter Chucho Valdez performs Oct.22 followed by the Fifth Annual Taste of Nourish on Oct. 23. This event is a fundraiser for families needing assistance in feeding children.
  • Eternal Tango is presented on Oct. 25 with music and dance from Argentina.
