December is here, and with it, the official start of Winter! There’s no shortage of fun around town to delve into – how about an “olde tyme” holiday wild west experience? Olde Tyme Holidays at Old Tucson
Spend the holidays at Old Tucson, “Where the Spirit of the Old West Comes Alive!” We will have a special Christmas musical, Christmas comedy show, classic Christmas song performances, visits from Santa Claus and general holiday cheer, running through December 31. Broadway in Tucson: Jesus Christ Superstar
Jesus Christ Superstar is an iconic musical phenomenon with a world-wide fan base. In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, a new mesmerizing production comes to North America. Originally staged by London’s Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and helmed by the acclaimed director Timothy Sheader (Crazy for YouInto the Woods) and award winning choreographer Drew McOnie (King KongStrictly Ballroom), this production won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival garnering unprecedented reviews and accolades. Zoo Lights at Reid Park Zoo
ZOOlights at Reid Park Zoo is guaranteed to put you in the winter spirit with jingle bells, twinkling lights, falling show, lighted animal sculptures, visits with Santa, and live entertainment nightly. Sweet treats, s’mores and hot cocoa will be available for purchase. Most animals will be off exhibit for this event.  Zoo Lights begins with a Members-only night on December 4 and then opens to the public from December 5-23 with Encore Nights December 26-30.  Presented by Tucson Electric Power.

Luminaria Nights
Come experience what will be our most magical Luminaria Nights yet. With new experiences added that include Poinsettia Pavilion featuring a 10′ poinsettia tree, an enhanced Winter Wonderland: Our Garden Snowfall Experience, 3,500+ luminarias, 24+ Korean lanterns, the Grinch, and Santa’s Mailbox.  Delight in wonderful food and drinks and enjoy an incredible musical lineup featuring the Manhattan Dolls and many more talented Tucsonans. Parking at the Tucson Botanical Gardens is limited and is handicapped only.  Free parking will be available at the Emmanuel Baptist Church at 1825 N. Alvernon Way. A free shuttle ride will take you over to TBG.
