Celebrate American independence, get lost in visages of the Old West, and bring your furry friend out to play with you. Here’s what’s going on in the first part of July!

12 Months of Madaras: Western Month
During the month of July, a special exhibit at Madaras Gallery will focus on Western paintings, including scenes depicting horses, cowboys, and more. Over two decades, prolific Tucson artist Diana Madaras has explored a wide variety of subjects and, in 2019, she is showcasing a different theme each month.

Dog Days
From June 1st through September 30th, your 4-legged friends will be allowed to enjoy the Gardens just as much as you. Admission for your dog will be $3 per dog for a day pass or your pet can enjoy unlimited access to the Gardens with a dog membership for $20. Each dog membership comes with a custom canine membership card and must be added to your existing Garden membership. Additional dog memberships may be purchased at $10 each. Tucson Saguaros Baseball Club
Recurring weekly on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
The Tucson Saguaros will return to play in the Pecos League’s Pacific Division which will consist of the Tucson Saguaros, California City Whiptails, Wasco Reserves, White Sand Pupfish, Alpine 6 Cowboys, High Desert Yardbirds and Roswell Invaders.  Games are at Cherry Field, 425 S Cherry Ave. The club is a member of the Pecos League, an independent baseball league not affiliated with Major League Baseball or Minor League Baseball.

Gaslight Theatre Presents A Salute to America
“A Salute to America” honors our brave men and women in uniform by celebrating the lyrics and melodies that make our country great. Hosted by Tucson music legend Armen Dirtadian and a world-class band, you’ll be inspired by rousing renditions of flag-waving favorites, with special guest appearances by The Manhattan Dolls and Robert Shaw), at the Gaslight Theatre.

July 4th: A Colossal Fourth
The Vail Preservation Society brings you “A Colossal Fourth” celebration.  Events July 3rd include live music, star gazing, free petting zoo, family movie, Blessing of the Vines, Parents Night Out, History Tour, Legion 109 Patriotic Party, Tucson Speedway races and fireworks, local discounts, Prickly Pear Festival Block Party with Kid Zone, live music, and great food that will end with the Parade on July 4th at 9:00 AM.
